PAWS (Pets Are Wonderful Support)
Offers essential task, financial, and informational assistance to pet owners living with HIV and AIDS, ensuring they remain united with their animal companions during challenging times.

In 2024, PAWS served 72 clients and 104 pets, distributing 9,667 lbs. of pet food, litter, and treats. Additionally, $3,673.05 in pet care bills were covered. Throughout the year, PAWS made 188 deliveries of food, supplies, and congregate meals to ensure the well-being of our members and their pets. In total, the program provided 648 services to pets and their owners in 2024!

PAWS Volunteers Provide the Following Assistance to Our Members:

  • In-home pet care when a client is ill
  • Dog walking, litter box maintenance, grooming, and feeding
  • Provision of food, supplies, and medical care for pets
  • Education through PAWS Safe Pet Guidelines
  • Transportation to veterinary and grooming services
  • Health and educational resources, including "safe pet" guidelines for pet owners living with HIV/AIDS
