Capital Region Ending the Epidemic
Adult HIV Testing Sub-Committee
The Capital Region Ending the Epidemic Adult HIV Testing Sub-Committee seeks to better educate the community on HIV/AIDS, offer more accessible HIV testing, and fight stigma by encouraging all people to “know their status.” This sub-committee works with local partners such as: Albany Med, the Alliance for Positive Health, Whitney Young, the Damien Center, Planned Parenthood (Upper Hudson and Greater New York), the Albany Public Libraries, and so many more to offer HIV testing throughout the Capital Region.
Getting everyone tested for HIV is part of New York State’s initiative to End the Epidemic. By knowing your HIV status, you can better protect yourself and your partners. Getting tested is often simple, free or low-cost, and many agencies offer same-day testing.

The Adult HIV Testing Sub-committee is looking for new members!
Access to HIV testing in our communities is made possible through small business, organizations, and non-for-profits here within the Capital Region. If you are a community member, business owner, or someone with a passion for change please contact us to join a meeting! We meet to discuss ongoing projects, plan events, create literature, and so much more. We are always welcome to new ideas and venues to offer HIV testing and education to our community.
For more information on the Adult HIV Testing Subcommittee, or to join our next meeting, please contact Chris Wasik at [email protected] or Kyla Loucks at [email protected] or (518)264-5839.
