Donate Items for Albany Damien Center Members

​We are grateful for the continued support of our in-kind donors! You provide much-needed items to our members: food, personal care items, pet food/supplies, and clothing! Please check out the list of items we currently need. All items can be dropped off at our front desk at 728 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12208.  The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Food: 
  • Jars of peanut butter
  • Canned vegetables or beans
  • Frozen vegetables or fruits 
  • Bags of rice or other grains like quinoa and couscous
  • Boxes of spaghetti, ziti or elbow macaroni
  • Large cans of tomato sauce or chopped/crushed tomatoes 
  • Lean ground beef or turkey 
  • Canned soup
  • Canned ravioli (and other canned “meals”)
  • Ramen noodles
  • Canned tuna
  • Individual oatmeal packets
  • Granola/protein bars/Nutri-grain bars/breakfast bars
  • Bottled water
  • Mac and cheese (individual or boxes)
  • Single-serve crackers and cheese 
  • Single-serve crackers and peanut butter 
  • Individual frozen meals

Pet food and supplies: 
  • Kitty litter (Clumping/Scoopable preferred, as it is safer and healthier for our members)
  • Dry and canned cat food
  • Dry and canned dog food (except grain-free*)
  • Pet treats 
To schedule a drop-off of pet food and supplies for PAWS, please call Jeanie at 518-449-7119.

PAWS Cannot Accept (for safety, use, and storage reasons):
  • Grain-free dog food*
  • Opened pet food
  • Pet food that has been expired for more than six months
  • Expired pet medication (or medication for animals besides Cats and Dogs)
  • Cloth pet carriers for cats or dogs
  • Human blankets or towels
  • Unwashed pet beds

*​Until the link between grain-free diets and cardiac disease in dogs is understood, we cannot give out grain-free dog food.
