Be A Volunteer, Make an Impact....

Why we need you…

People struggling with HIV/AIDS need our help. For many organizations serving people with HIV/AIDS, funding is scarce.  We depend on volunteers to help “keep the doors open” and allow us to provide help to as many people as possible. Since 1990, the Albany Damien Center has provided a drop-in community center for individuals and families living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.  All activities are provided free of charge in a nonjudgmental, comfortable atmosphere and are designed to improve health and quality of life.

A flexible schedule…

You can volunteer as little as three hours per week to help make a difference.  Volunteer schedules are very flexible and include daytime and evening opportunities.

As a volunteer, you will not only be an integral and valuable component of the Albany Damien Center, but often a source of comfort and cheer to those who are caught in the lonely experience of HIV/AIDS.  If you have a few hours, a sense of professionalism, and the ability to work well with others, you fit the volunteer profile.

Are you an "up front" person?  There's a service for you.  Rather work behind the scenes?  There's a service for you.  Everyone from students to retirees welcome.
