I shall pass through this world but once.  Any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now.

Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.  - Etienne de Grellet

About the Center….

Since 1990, the Albany Damien Center has provided a drop-in community center for individuals and families living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.  All activities are provided free of charge in a nonjudgmental, comfortable atmosphere and are designed to improve health and quality of life.

Why we need you…

People struggling with HIV/AIDS need our help. For many organizations serving people with HIV/AIDS, funding is scarce.  We depend on volunteers to help “keep the doors open” and allow us to provide help to as many people as possible.

A flexible schedule…

You can volunteer as little as three hours per week to help make a difference.  Volunteer schedules are very flexible and include daytime and evening opportunities.

Please join us….

As a volunteer, you will not only be an integral and valuable component of the Albany Damien Center, but often a source of comfort and cheer to those who are caught in the lonely experience of HIV/AIDS.  If you have a few hours, a sense of professionalism, and the ability to work well with others, you fit the volunteer profile.

Are you an "up front" person?  There's a service for you.  Rather work behind the scenes?  There's a service for you.  Everyone from students to retirees welcome.  Call us! 449-7119 or info@albanydamiencenter.org
