Support Groups Gay Men’s HIV+ Discussion Group – 6:30 PM on Thursdays sponsored by the ACNENY is held every Thursday. Contact Wade at 434-4686 x2323 prior to attending for the first time. Social Activities Bingo with Zack! – Prizes, Bingo, & Fun with volunteer Zack – starting at 6 PM! Salsa Dancing Lessons – With our Peer Advocate Efrain Carrasquillo! Fun for all ages and levels of expertise as we will SALSA on Fridays Backyard BBQ – our first of the season, rain or shine, in the backyard of the Albany Damien Center – BBQ starts at 2 PM! Sponsored by Our Brothers’ Keepers Foundation. Smart Meals – Lunches Noon to 1:30 PM and dinner served from 6 PM to 7:30 Mondays through Thursdays. More opportunities for conversation, support, and information on proper diet and eating well! Drop-In Living Room - Open Monday through Saturday from Noon to 8:30 PM. The Center has an HIV/AIDS information resource section, information about upcoming events, comfortable sitting areas, and a non-judgmental, supportive atmosphere.

Massage Therapy – Experience the healing benefits of therapeutic massage to relax the body and muscles, release toxins, and improve circulation. Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) - is an energy-based form of natural healing and bodywork in which the practitioner directs energy to the recipient so that they may achieve self-healing on many different levels.
Other Services Hair Cuts – Every Monday from 1 PM to 3 PM by a Licensed Cosmetologist! OraQuick HIV Testing - Every Other Monday 6 – 7:30 PM Test results in 20 minutes! Mental Health Counseling – is available at the Center and can help you learn to live and live better with HIV. Call 449-7119 for an appointment. PAWS Wellness Clinic – on June 1 from 12 Noon to 5 PM, for registered PAWS clients to bring their pets for well care exams and vaccinations. By appointment only – call 449-7119 x 18. Join Joel Holl, Housing Specialist at CARES to answer all of your questions related to housing.
