The Matching Gift Challenge raised a total of $22,047!  Special thanks to the Albany Damien Center Board of Directors and the Van Benthuysen Trust for the matching gift of $10,000.

These generous gifts supported the emergency efforts The Albany Damien Center through delivery and "Grab & Go", and by phone during the COVID-19 pandemic:
  • Healthy meals and groceries for over 400 people with HIV and AIDS experiencing illness and food insecurity
  • Household cleaning supplies and personal care items for both our members and our tenants
  • Job placement assistance for members seeking work, and for those recently left unemployed as a result of the COVID-19 virus
  • Pet food, supplies, and veterinary care for PAWS program participants
  • Assistance for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual (LGB) & Transgender Non-Binary (TGNB) community members who face barriers to good health due to the COVID-19 virus through our MPower! program
