2021 Hero Awards Postponed to Spring 2022

8/20/21

Dear Friends – After consideration and consultation, we will be postponing our Hero’s Event until the spring of 2022.

With what we are seeing with rising Covid infections in Albany County and across the state, including breakthroughs, from the Delta variant, gathering 200 people in one room is not as safe as we thought it would be at the time we decided to schedule the event.

We intend to honor Benita as our Hero in the Spring and will honor each person’s tickets purchased in the spring or refund if desired.

We continue to work each day to provide all our Damien Center services to each person who needs us, which is more often now than ever before because of Covid.

Thank you all for your support as we stay flexible during these extraordinary times.

Sincerely,
Perry Junjulas, Executive Director
