8-7-21 Update: The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued guidance regarding those who are fully vaccinated -  “To maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent spreading, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission”.

Unfortunately, the level of community transmission in Albany County (and many surrounding counties) is now ‘substantial’.

Therefore, effective immediately, we will be reinstating the mask wearing mandate for all staff, tenants, members, and visitors whether you are vaccinated or not, until such time as conditions change.

If you are exposed, please note the quarantine guidance:
  • Quarantine if you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated.
  • People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms.
  • However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 3-5 days after their exposure, even they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.
  • If you have symptoms, immediately self-isolate and contact us and your healthcare provider.

If you are not already vaccinated, any of our staff members can help you with scheduling and providing transportation for a Covid vaccine appointment!  We strongly encourage everyone to consult with their doctor if you have questions or concerns about getting the vaccine, but to please strongly consider getting the vaccine - - and we are willing to help!!!
